1. Leading Enterprises

Dapeng New District is actively developing industrial clusters such as the Big Health sector, attracting enterprises including Lvshiyuan Biotechnology, Yukang Medical, and Jingulong Seeds, mainly located in the Life Sciences Industrial Park, Marine Biotechnology Park, and the core start-up area of the Baguang International Bio-Valley. Shenzhen Jingulong Seeds Co., Ltd. is committed to becoming a fully integrated seed company engaged in breeding, propagation, and promotion. Professor Li Kui, founder of Zhongnong Seed Source (Shenzhen) Technology Co., Ltd., incubated by the Agricultural Genomics Institute of the Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences, is a recipient of the National Science Fund for Distinguished Young Scholars and has nearly 40 years of experience in molecular breeding and gene editing.

2. Innovation Platforms

Relying on the construction of the Shenzhen International Food Valley, the district is steadily promoting the implementation of key industrial projects. The main registration application for the Shenzhen Institute of Frontier Technology, initiated by China Agricultural University, has been accepted by the Municipal Civil Affairs Bureau; the Agricultural Genomics Research Center, led by the Agricultural Genomics Institute of the Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences, has begun construction; and the Shenzhen International Agricultural and Food Innovation Center project has received budget approval from the Municipal Development and Reform Commission and will soon begin the bidding process.

3. Industrial Parks

Dapeng New District currently has eight specialized industrial parks available for enterprises in the Big Health sector, with a total building area of approximately 1.1295 million square meters. Among them, the Baguang Biotech Community has a total building area of about 139,000 square meters and is already completed and in use. The first project to settle in the Baguang area—Phase I of the "Shenzhen Letuo Watson Life Science Center"—has already been put into operation.

4. Unique and Scarce Resources

First, Dapeng New District possesses unique mountain and sea resources. The ‘Eastern Shenzhen International Tourism Resort’ located in the Xinda–Longqi Bay area has become one of Shenzhen’s 21 key development zones and serves as a core area for the city's tourism development. By leveraging these unique tourism resources, the district can attract high-end medical aesthetics institutions and develop medical tourism and projects combining aesthetic medicine with wellness.

Second, the Dapeng People’s Hospital is expected to complete construction and inspection by the end of 2024. It is planned to include 2,000 beds and feature nine major centers, including an International Rehabilitation Medicine Center, an International Medical Aesthetic Center, and an International Eco-Tourism Health Center.
